Prevent your ride on mower from getting wet
Although lawn mowers can get wet and probably are water resistant to a certain extent. They are designed for outdoor use and getting these lawn mowers overly wet may cause damage to the motor, wiring, spark plugs and other many electrical components of the ride on mower, along with a flooded engine.
Common signs that lawn mower is too wet include the following:
- Jerky start / keeps on cutting out
- Speed that the lawn mower functions at is a lot slower
- Lawn mower might not be starting up at all
Change ride on mower blades
It is advisable that you regularly change your mower blades every year to ensure that you are making the best use out of your ride on the mower and improving the longevity of the ride on mower.
When to consider replacing a lawn mower blade?
- Has the blade lost its condition? Overall sharpness or is beginning to bend
- If you use your ride on mower regularly and haven’t replaced blades in over a year
- If ride on mower is cutting the grass unevenly / leaving patches in some spots
Change oil for ride on mower
